It is over - 'Am no more a corps'

Thank God we and i made it. Passing Out no Parade (POnoP), rather Collection Of Certificate (COC) is here again and today, live from the whole country, 9ja; especially here in Bauchi state.

Someone should please inform the government that we have passed out today oo, and that we have also collected the certificate they asked us to labour for one year before getting it.

Please also remind them government, to tell and if possible order all the organizations, companies, industries, civil services, agencies, NGOs, groups; like Ibeto group of company, Dangote group of company, OAJ group of company, etc, to start accepting our applications and employing us oo.

Lest i forget, there should be preferential treatment in employing us. For those who served in cities and towns should be given state and local government works or small company works. While we that served in villages and remote areas should be compensated with Federal government works, big company works or international/abroad works, cause it wasn't easy.

It all started like play play last year, and then all i used to say was that if am not been posted at Rivers state or any near by state, i won't bother serving that year. I never intended or imagined to go to or be posted to any Northern state.

The day i printed my call up letter was the day i died. People around me thought i faked the death, until they realised how true it was. But the shocking thing is how possible for a dead man to be alive at the same time, and if possible, what may be the cause of mine. It wasn't a small scene that day oo.

Bauchi, of all the states in Nigeria, many people wondered. The one that triggered more fear and laughter was comparing Bauchi to Bokoharam with both names starting with the letter 'B'. That doesn't signify anything sha.

I died psychologically, not knowing the next move to make and the right action to take, i was devastated.

I recalled attending a church mass at St. John's Cathedral Bauchi. While leaving the church after the mass, i saw a grave yard with four graves, and i learnt that there was a suicide blast at the main entrance of the church in the year 2012, which saw to the loss of four lives that were buried at the grave, and left many injured.

But as i learnt, and for the one year i have spent in Bauchi, it is a beautiful state to serve and to be at.

The service year has been wonderful and full of ups and downs, with all the travels, tours, teachings, funs, parties, stress, hunger, struggles, drillings,  dissatisfactions, disappointments,  frustrations, etc.

At the end i give glory to God almighty for his protections and provisions. To my parents; am so grateful to have them around, for all their support, care and love. To my siblings; my life will forever be built around you guys.  To all my friends both those i met at the camp, off the camp, friends at my PPA, i really appreciate you guys so much. It is over - am no more a corps.

I came, i saw and i conquered!!!

I am OAJ.
