Fresh: At least 18 killed in attack on Turkish restaurant in Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso (AP) Suspected Islamic extremists opened fire at a Turkish restaurant in the capital of Burkina Faso late Sunday, killing at least 18 people. this is the second of such attack on a restaurant popular with foreigners in the last two years.

No group or sect have said to take claims on the attack still today being Monday, Gunfire was said to have lasted for more than seven hours after the attack began.

According to the Communication Minister who confirmed the killings told journalists that at least 18 people were dead and eight others wounded. He said two of the attackers were killed as well.

One of those who were killed in the attack was identified as a French Nationalists and several others from different nationalities.

The Police Capt. Ye Guy also told journalist that three or four assailants had arrived at the Aziz Istanbul restaurant on motorcycles and then opened fire randomly on innocent people towards Sunday evening.
