Photos: Abuja residents protest over the flood killing of a man and his two children in Abuja

The protest was organised by Abuja based residents in Lokogoma community, the protest was peaceful as it was geared towards alerting the Federal government on the lack of infrastructure and the sudden death of a man named Mr. Kenneth Nwoga and his two children during a heavy rainfall that caused a great flood in the area of the Federal capital territory on Thursday last week.

Before the accident occurred, eye witnesses spoke to news reporters that the man had been warned not to drive through the bridge due to the overflowing stream of water which rose above the ground level, but he refused listening to the warnings.

It was reported that a heavy rainfall started on Wednesday night till the morning of Thursday, the man was said to be taking his children to school in his white SUV when the flood cloaked the bridge he was warned not to drive on. Their dead bodies were later discovered in the middle of a stream and taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi.
