New details emerge in death of 19-year-old girl found dead in hotel freezer after going to party with friends

There have been different police reports and witness statements in the case of Kenneka Jenkins. The 19-year-old girl is said to have been found dead in a hotel freezer after she went to a party with some friends.

One of the reports had it that she was found by a hotel worker lying face down on her side, no signs of trauma, she had one shoe off, a small cut was seen on her foot. CBS Chicago reports.

Her mother resisted the police when they offered to analyze Kenneka's phone twice.

The Crowne Plaza O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, where her body was found only checked exit and entrance surveillance and looked at the hallways afterwards.

The camera at the kitchen, which she entered was motion activated and had not be turned on for weeks until her body was discovered.

Friends at the party received death threats, she may have received one too.

Police also based some questions to witness on tips from social media. One included a theory that Kenneka was killed by a gang fo $200. When a friend was asked about a reference to $200 in a Facebook Live video, the friend said it was the fine amount for violating the parking rules at the hotel lot.

After a medical examination, an officer from the team of examiner said that both epilepsy medication and alcohol contributed to her death, which was caused by hypothermia.
The girl was not prescribed any medication, Kenneka's mother said.
