Disgraced American football star O.J. Simpson has been released from prison jail o parole early Sunday.
In 1995, he was chareged for murder and armed robbery, which led to his arrest and jail sentence.
Simpson, 70, left the Lovelock Correctional Center in the western state of Nevada just after midnight Saturday.
I don't know where he was headed, said the prison spokesperson Brooke Keast.
Brooke Keast had earlier said that the midnight release of O.J Simpson from prison located about 90 miles (145 kilometers) east of Reno, Nevada, was conducted to avoid media attraction.
We needed to do this to ensure public safety and to avoid any possible incident, Keast said, while speaking by a telephone.
