Photos: Rivers State police commissioner fulfills promise to give N1m to man who gave info that led to ritualist Ifeanyi Dike’s re-arrest

The promise and bait made by the Rivers state police commissioner has been fulfilled on the issue concerning the rearrest of Ifeanyi Dike who raped and killed an 8 year-old girl, Victory Chikamso.

The Rivers state commissioner of Police had earlier promised the sum of N1million to be given to anyone who aids in the rearrest of Ifeanyi Dike the murderer, following his escape from Police custody. 

The man who gave information that led to the rearrest is pictured above receiving the N1miilion cash pledged by the Commissioner of Police.

Ifeanyi Dike had allegedly raped, killed and removed vital organs of an 8 year-old girl and cousin, Victory Chikamso, before escaping from police custody. It was reported that he was able to escape because one of the policemen on duty the Saturday night he escaped, identified as Johnbosco had unlocked the handcuffs for Dike to write his statement and didn't cuff him back after writing his statement.

Johnbosco was later dismissed and another Divisional Police Officer in Rivers State arrested him on the orders of the State Police Command for his alleged involvement in the escape.
