The EFCC Intercepted N32.4 million New Notes Allegedly Suspected to be used for Vote Buying in Lagos.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has seized N32.4 million in new notes suspected of being used for vote buying in Lagos.
The anti-graft agency said in a tweet on Friday that officials had also arrested a suspect who had been taken into custody for questioning.
The interception in Lagos of the amount of N32,400,000 allegedly suspected to be used for vote buying in Lagos may have signaled the beginning of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) massive operation to prevent vote trading and other financial malfeasance ahead of tomorrow's presidential and national assembly elections.
"The recovery was made by Commission operatives from the Lagos Zonal Command. The suspect has been arrested and will be questioned further."
